My name is Juan LLerena, I was born in Peru and I had the great opportunity to travel to several towns
through the different regions of Peru before coming to the US.

Like many others, I was able to see the wonders Peru has to offers, great lots of people wich many times
do not have enough work or enough food to give to their children.
Many talented people, sometimes without the opportunity they need to success in life and help change
things. Brilliant children who do not have the support to continue higher education.

People with a big heart, who can share the little they have to make you feel welcome.
People who can share when they have extra is very valuable, but when they give even if they do not
have extra, have a bigger meaning to us. That has always thrilled me and fascinated me. Good heart
explains it all.

A few years ago, we started expo PERU collection, with the desire to promote the Peruvian culture
and goods. We bought sometimes from artisans in small town, middlemen, and factories. Different
products such as: paintings, alpaca clothings, jewelry and more.

That is until we discovered the Fair Trade Movement, we read about it, what it is, who it helps, a truly
meaninful message to the society all around the world, looking to balance the unequalities that
traditional trade has done for many years until now.

Having visited many places in Peru and knowing by experience the challenges of living in a third world
society, we decided this will be a great way to still promote the art, traditions and culture from Peru
but last and more importanly to help real people with real needs; to have a better chance in life to
succeed.

We have made all possible efforts and will continue to do so, to ensure you and ourselves that the
products we carry are all 100% Fairly Traded. We are commited to provide you with high quality
products meeting all Fair Trade regulations, respecting the artisans and their families, paying them a
fair price for their products, and offering them when possible technical assistance to improve their
working conditions.

We are proud members of the Fair Trade Federation, and we are compromised to practice all Fair
Trade standards and help spread the word about Fair Trade. We also are proud members of Co-op
America and are also compromised with green practices.

We are also commited to you, to provide the best products available and high customer
experience. To educate you and anyone we can reach about the Fair Trade Movement and make
it grow. We know the task may not be easy, but it is rewarding to know we can contribute with
our cause by taking action and make it happen.
